RUDM    Recent Updates on Dry Eye Management 【名額已滿】

CNE pts: 2

Sponsored by Arctic Vision Hong Kong Biotech Limited

Dry eye disease (DED) is one of the most common ocular problems in the world. Affecting tens of millions of individuals globally, DED is a major reason for patients seeking eye care. In Hong Kong, the estimated prevalence is 30%. It occurs when the tear secretion is not sufficient, or there is imbalance of components or excessive tear evaporation. The tear film cannot cover the eye surface properly and keep it lubricated.

Symptoms of DED include eye grittiness, pain or soreness, burning, watering, light sensitivity, and blurred vision. If not treated properly, dry eye can cause lasting damage to the corneal surface and declining vision. DED carries significant socioeconomic implications, including medical costs and disruption of work.

This seminar will provide updates for AHKNS members on

- DED epidemiology and prevalence

- Burden on dry eye problem

The latest DED treatment regime from ophthalmologists’ point of view

- Health tips on how to prevent DED
