1. To understand sedation and MAC

2. To understand the common medications involved in sedation and MAC

3. To understand the required physiological monitoring for IV sedation and Monitored Anaesthetic Care

4. To be able to identify and initiate immediate support when required

5. To be able to use SBAR for communication

6. To understand the importance of documentation

Target participants:

Personnel with or without nursing background who is required to support patients in various types of clinics, endoscopy centres, procedural centres that require IV sedation and/ or Monitored Anaesthetic Care (MAC)
