ASPP (Association for Supporting Special Educational Needs (SEN) Children's Home Training Skills)
CNE pts: 8
There are an increasing number of students with special education needs (SEN) in Hong Kong. In addition to enrolling them in professional training (such as attention training, social training, speech therapy, psychotherapy, etc.), parents can also enhance their children's attention, social skills, and motivation for learning through fun and engaging activities in daily life. This can not only reduce children's resistance to training and help them learn necessary skills, but also make the relationship between parents and children or family members more harmonious.
This course introduces children with Special Education Needs (SEN) and their characteristics, the challenges and difficulties they face in life, learning, and interpersonal relationships, and how to help them improve their abilities through simple and fun games and activities. It also covers techniques for parents to calmly intervene in their children's play-based learning. This course is suitable for parents or anyone who frequently interacts with children and wants to help improve their children's focus, emotional expression, social skills, fine motor skills, and self-confidence.。
The content includes:
- Understanding and recognizing children with various special educational needs (SEN) and their characteristics, the challenges they face in all aspects of life, gentle yet firm communication skills with children, and existing social resources, etc.
- Practical tips for supporting children with attention deficit or hyperactivity at home
Practical tips for supporting children with social difficulties at home.
